It is Monday!

Well, what started out as a great weekend only got better!  The Armalite pitch went swimmingly (sorry Rob.)  The ripped pool cover is on order and the cameras will be replaced soon.  Rob seems to have come out of his funk a little, and I started talking to a great new guy working in the Agricultural Vermin Deterrent field.

His name is Edgar.  He looks pretty rough when he first gets off work, but when he changes out of his bib-overalls and tucks in his straw (be nice)  he looks pretty darn good!  He knows all the corn jokes... I had no idea there were that many.  He also knows the call and look of every bird in the area.  I could listen to him talk for hours!

It is Monday you know what that means!  YUP! the TDS Tidbit!
so here it is.... this time in poem form

He who stands too near the pool
risks sopping clothes and loss of tool
and falling can scare the boss
she could not care less of your tool loss

but through it all keep your chin high
for it's only things that you can buy
a broken thing you can replace...
but if you get hurt she'll smack your face.

OK actually she got scared and cried... but i couldn't get that to rhyme :)

There is another batch of Zombies that just moved in, but I don't think they will be staying long.  Rob took their pictures today to help find them a new home.  It was pretty sad watching him try to pose them and act all professional using a little tiny baby point and shoot.  Hee Hee.

Any way here they are, I call them (from left to right) Larry, Blue Girl (BG), Tic, and Flame, but you can call them anything you want. :)

More later!

Hey Everybody!

I know I know, I've been gone a while.  Sorry some times I just get so caught up in life that I forget to make time for the things I enjoy.

Looks like there won't be any new pictures for a while.  Rob tried to do some underwater photography and killed his cameras.  Well he wasn't really trying underwater shots... but he did find out that the pool cover is secretly a Nikon fan.

So we went to Armalite in Geneseo yesterday.  Looks like they are going to advertise our slings on their web pages, and take pictures of the sling on their custom rifles.   Looks like Rob is gonna be a knot tying dude.  Sweet.  Rob schmoozed hard but was unable to get them to give him a sample rifle.  I am pretty sure they saw the picture of me with the rifle slung, (Rob taught me that term) and that is what sold them.

They asked for a few simple modifications, so I got to spend the day surfing the web trying to find a supplier for the parts to make the production model sling.  I found them though,  so by this time next week, there will be a knot tying flurry.  Maybe I will even get into the groove and do some slinging!

I know you are all dying to know what is going on with Dominick.   Long story short... NOTHING!  I have sworn off that dummy (that means two things) and I have moved on.    I currently have my eye on a guy working as an agricultural vermin deterrent.  We will have to take it slowly though.  He is more of an outdoorsy type who likes to hang around in fields, but he has the most amazing stories about avian infestations.  I have no idea what that is, but he makes it sound awesome!!
