AHHH!! This is where I left my blog!

I wondered where I left it.  It has been a while so I thought I would fill you all in on my latest activity!

I have to tell you all what happened last night.

We were all out for a walk after dark and we are walking down a street that is divided with trees shrubs and a winding path down the middle.  We are all talking and joking around when I hear Rob say, oh hello kitty... and Teeny Screams THAT IS NOT A CAT!!! She then hides behind Rob.  Well Amanda and I had been talking and looking the other way so I just froze... My years of experience as a Textile Display Specialist probably saved my life here.... Amanda says: "What is not a cat?"

Well I look over to see this black blurr running towards us!! It was HUGE!  My first thought was... what the heck is a bear doing in town... then all I could think was oh no... you are supposed to play dead for a bear and I was too scared to move.. I just stood there! No doubt looking like a giant bear treat.  I knew I was done for.  My life literally flashed before my eyes... that was a short flash and one for later discussion... but it happened none the less....

Then as the great beast closed the distance close enough to strike I closed my eyes and tried to find a happy place...

That is when I hear Teen say... Oh it's a puppy!!  I thought she had gone mad with fear and was also looking for her happy place... I kept my eyes shut and prepared to feel the hot breath of the massive bear...

The next thing I hear is giggling and laughing... how sad I thought. If only I were brave enough to laugh in the face of a bear.  I opened one eye and saw Amanda Teen and Rob bent down and petting a small dog.  I can only guess that it had charged in at the last moment and scared the bear away!  Brave little animal. I am going to give it a treat the next time I see it for saving us from the bear.

OK, that is it for now I am off to see Edgar, the agricultural vermin deterant engineer.  He has some consoling to do. ;)

Later!  Q
